Registering Your Serial Number

  • You can see a list of the products you’ve registered and their serial numbers anytime at uvi.net/my-products 
  • If you already have an iLok account linked in our system you can now register directly on 'My Products'.


Step 1: Login to your account on uvi.net/, then navigate to the 'My Products' page.

Step 2: Locate your product and click‘ Register it now. 

You will be redirected to the Product Registration page to complete the registration process.

Step 3: If you already have an iLok account click ‘I already have an iLok account’ and proceed to login.

If you do not have an iLok account yet click‘Create a FREE iLok account’ and follow the instructions provided.

Step 4: Once your iLok account name is displayed, click ‘CONTINUE’ to deposit the license into your iLok account.

Note: This step cannot be undone, please carefully verify that your iLok account name is accurate.


Activating Your License

  • iLok License Manager is required for activation (automatically installed with UVI Workstation and Falcon).
  • Your license allows up to 3 concurrent activations on any combination of iLok dongles and computers.
  • Activations can be moved between devices at anytime.


Step 1: Launch iLok License Manager.

Step 2: Login to your account.

Step 3: Click the ‘Available’ tab.

Step 4: Drag the license to your computer or an iLok dongle.

Step 5: Click ‘Ok’ to confirm the activation The process is complete, your device is now authorized.


Downloading Your Soundbanks


Step 1: Navigate to the My Products page

Step 2: Scroll to the desired product(s) and click ‘Download’


Step 4 Install Your Soundbanks

  • Soundbanks are compressed in RAR format, you will need a RAR utility to access them. We suggest UnrarX (Mac) or WinRAR (Win) . 
  • Once decompressed, soundbanks can be placed anywhere on your computer (including external drives). Create a directory and move your soundbanks to it. 
  • The faster the drive the better your performance will be. We recommend 7,200 rpm HDs or SSDs when available.


Step 1: Decompress your soundbanks with a RAR utility

The decompressed file will have a ‘.ufs’ file extension

Step 2: Create a folder for your soundbank(s). 
We recommend choosing a location that can be easily found.

For example: Macintosh HD > UVI or C:/Documents/UVI


Soundbanks in UVI Workstation

Step 1: Open UVI Workstation.

Step 2: Click the Settings page.

Step 3: Click the ‘Sound Banks’ tab.

Step 4: Click the ‘...’ button and select the folder where you’ve placed your soundbanks.

Step 5: Restart UVI Workstation and open the BrowserYour instruments will be available under the ‘Soundbanks’ tab.


Step 5 Soundbanks in Falcon

Step 1Open Falcon.

Step 2: Open ‘Preferences’.

Step 3: Click the ‘Soundbanks’ tab.

Step 4: Click the ‘...’ button and select the folder where you’ve placed your soundbanks.

Step 6: Restart Falcon and open the Browser.

Your instruments will be available under the ‘Soundbanks’ tab
