The iZotope Alloy 2 and Ozone 7 products are both powerful plug-ins designed to work together to add character to every element of your mix. Alloy 2 has been created for use when mixing; allowing you to fine tune and shape your individual elements in your track, and Ozone 7 is designed for mastering; to add an overall shine and boost to your master mix.
Alloy 2 contains six precision tools for mixing in one integrated system: Equalizer, Dynamics, Exciter, De-Esser, Transient Shaper and Limiter. This has been done to reduce your need to load up individual plug-ins for each of these tools on your required channels.
Ozone 7 is also a single integrated plug-in, which includes essential mastering tools: Maximizer, Dynamic EQ (now in both Standard and Advanced), the new Vintage Limiter, Vintage Tape (Advanced only), Vintage Compressor (Advanced only), and Vintage EQ (Advanced only).
Alloy 2 can be applied to your track without Ozone 7 to bring out the key elements in your mix, with the use of the Alloy 2 Equaliser, Exciter and Transient Shaper, to name a few, you can quickly rearrange elements in your mix, to help them sit better together.
Some plug-ins come with five or ten presets. Alloy 2 comes with over 250 presets designed to give you the perfect starting point for a broad range of mixing tasks. MacroPresets customise the Alloy 2 display to show you just the sliders and meters you need for the task at hand, giving you powerful preset signal chains with simple controls, making each preset feel like its own custom-tailored plug-in.
For many producers and engineers, they leave their mastering to an external professional, however, if you want to create your own professional level mastering, then there is no better then the complete mastering system of Ozone 7, whether you are new to mastering or a professional engineer.
The Ozone 7 Preset Manager gives you over 250 professionally-designed starting points for mastering your projects. In Ozone 7, the MacroPreset system has been simplified and streamlined: quickly fine-tune a preset or your own settings, then use the Amount Controls to add more or less processing to each module.
The iZotope Ozone 7 and the release of Alloy 2 are available in a Mix & Master Bundle from the Time & Space website, making it even easier for you to put them together. Additionally Alloy 2 is also a useful tool to use along side Ozone 7 Advanced
