HOW TO SET UP MASCHINE
Native Access is a small cloud-based application that handles downloads, installation, and updates for Native Instruments software. It’s the easiest way to get all your music creation tools ready for use, so you can spend more time making music and less time managing products.
STEP 1: DOWNLOAD, INSTALL, AND RUN NATIVE ACCESS
- If you already have Native Access, just start the application.
- You’ll be asked to log in with your NI account. If you don't have one, you can create one within the app.
- Please pay particular attention to the 'Installation Preferences' – see below for details.
STEP 2: ENTER SERIAL NUMBER
Select ‘Add serial’, and enter your MASCHINE serial number as shown on the DVD booklet in your product box.
Important: When you run Native Access for the first time, you’ll be asked to ‘select a target folder’. Native Access will install all product content, such as sample libraries, into this target folder. Sample content in particular takes up a lot of space, so you may want to install everything to a dedicated hard drive.
Important: On Windows computers, you need to point Native Access to your preferred VST plug-in folder. Once selected, all Native Instruments VST plug-ins will be installed into this folder.
